[He slips his shades back on, only the scar visible above and below his right eye.]
They'd be dead. And if this was an American biker bar, they'd be shot in the parking lot.
[He hadn't expected to be able to talk with anyone in less than a professional capacity. But Iwai looks like he'd seen things and didn't take a lot of shit from anyone. He could respect that.]
[That's not exactly what he'd been expecting, so Auron actually laughs a bit.]
Yeah, they'll either learn to swerve when someone's holding a gun or learn how terrible it is to get shot.
[Hideo is about to interject something when two guys enter the bar. He snaps his fingers to get Auron's attention because these look like they could be trouble, dressed in fine suits and walking around like they own everything. The other people at the bar immediately give them space.]
[Because it's Auron's job and because he has no idea of Iwai's past, he whispers to him.]
Just stay here. We got this.
[Everyone else is suitably intimidated. Hideo begins walking over to talk to them, apparently they're people he knows.
Auron is suitably not impressed. He does take a quick look at their pins. Not from the right group. He's not sure who they are, so he makes a mental note of them for later.
The negotiation isn't going well, although it only seems like one of them is in it for trouble. The other guy looks a little new and is trying to calm his friend down.
There are threats that go back and forth. As soon as the argumentative one looks like he's reaching for something, Auron reacts. Like the training he'd done years and years just comes automatically where he armblocks the yakuza, sweeps his legs out from under him and then rides him to the ground, arm behind his head.]
I can break your arm or you can promise you'll behave yourself, get a beer and act like civilized people. What's it going to be?
[Under this threat, they decide whatever trouble they were up to with Hideo, they think the better of it and leave.
As soon as they're gone, all of the other patrons begin to cheer.]
[Iwai just can't bring himself to stop paying attention to it. He keeps peaking over his shoulder to watch the entire encounter. He blinks for a moment and then turns to look back at his drink before looking right back at it.
He's not yakuza anymore. He doesn't have to do that sort of thing.
But still, it makes him raise his eyebrow the entire time. He doesn't know why the hell Auron is doing this. And he's definitely feeling like there's something very hidden that he's not been told.
He sighs and places his bottle on the counter, waiting for Auron to come back so he can get another one.
He won't pry tonight. Next time Auron comes into the shop, however, he's got some questions.]
All right, show's over folks! Get back to drinking and talking.
[Hideo got everyone settled, even though he, himself, was seething. Auron took a seat next to Iwai, slowly holding inhaling and exhaling and drinking a water. After a bit of calming down, he managed a little bit of a smile.]
Guess I wasn't kidding about the entertainment here. Boss, those guys wanted to really start some problems. Am I going to have to body slam someone every time I'm duty?
I hope not. [He replies back.] Just a guy I used to know that likes being an asshole. He might stay away since you humiliated him.
Sorry about the trouble, Iwai. Here, have another drink on me.
[Iwai just keeps his eyebrow raised. He takes a deep breath and lets out a small sigh.]
Don't worry about it. It's all good here.
[Although he has maybe a hundred or more questions about all of this. Still, he doesn't really want to get too into it. Unless he thinks Auron is going to get hurt.
[Auron gives another deep sigh, letting go tension.]
Thanks. Didn't realize you'd get a show along with a drink, hunh? Never a dull moment around here.
[He has a few minutes to sit and talk before someone else enters the bar, then Auron jumps up to do his job and circulate.
Hideo wipes down the bar, serving a few drinks. He then talks to Iwai again.]
I don't know what you did, but that's the most open I've seen Auron since he started here. Man's kind of intense, you know? But if he hadn't been here, might have been more trouble.
He told me that you asked him to do some odd jobs for him. I don't mind that as long as it doesn't interfere with this job, all right?

[He says with a smirk. No, he's not really serious. But it's fun for him to pretend he's an asshole.
Instead of actually being an asshole like he always is.]

Hm.
He'll just go back to his beer and just try to relax.]

Hah. I made him work for free. Guess that's worth somethin'.
[Shrugging his shoulders again as he keeps an eye on Hideo.]
Nope, won't interfere. I make sure he's free before I keep him way too damn busy.
